TACC Account Eligibility Changes by Matthew EdekerPublished January 05, 2026 TACC is updating its account policies concerning institutional affiliation and email address requirements. These changes align with NSF guidance and ensure compliance with federal funding requirements. Beginning 1/6/2026, all users will be required to have an approved institutional affiliation with an associated email address. For example, if you are affiliated with The University of Texas at Austin, you will need to have a utexas.edu email address associated with your account. Generic domains such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, or qq.com are prohibited. Accounts with these types of domains will be deactivated and users will be required to login to https://accounts.tacc.utexas.edu with their current TACC username and password to update their email address and institution.
