      Detailed Schedule of Systems and Services Outage

      Starting Tuesday (6/17/25), TACC will be entering a 2-phase maintenance which will run through Friday (6/19/25). 

      Suggested User Preparation: 
      • Copy any files, scripts, or other software you need to run jobs to $SCRATCH before 6/17/25
      • Assume extended wait times once job processing restarts 
      • For PIs: Ensure that appropriate users are on your allocation before 6/17/25
      Phase 1
      6/17/25
      8:00 AM (CDT)
      All systems and services will be offline and unavailable. This includes: 
      • All Production Systems, including Frontera, Lonestar 6, Stampede 3, and Vista
      • Portal Functionality: account/allocation management, job submission, and applications (ex: Jupyter Notebooks) will be disabled across all portals (ex: DesignSafe, TAP)
      • Account creation and modification via accounts.tacc.utexas.edu 
        • MFA re-pairing will be available for active accounts only
      • Allocation creation and modification
      8:00 PM 
      • The following systems will be back online WITHOUT the $WORK filesystem mounted: 
      • Frontera, Lonestar 6, and Stampede 3
      • Vista
      • Other services and systems will continue to be impacted
      Phase 2
      6/18/25-6/19/25
      Admins will continue to perform maintenance on the $WORK filesystem. While certain machines will be back online, jobs can only be run from $SCRATCH. 

      Users will be able to run jobs submitted from $SCRATCH provided that no part of the job references or touches the $WORK filesystem. Any files not previously copied over the $SCRATCH will be entirely inaccessible until the end of the maintenance period. 

      When filesystem maintenance is complete, an announcement will be sent indicating that all systems and services have been restored.
