Dr. Sheryl Roehl serves as the EPIC Partnership Coordinator within the Expanding Pathways in Computing (EPIC) WeTeach_CS team at the Texas Advanced Computing Center. In this role, she collaborates directly with school districts to design, build, and implement comprehensive K-12 Computer Science Pathways.
As an experienced educator and curriculum specialist, Dr. Roehl leads professional development programs across a broad range of computer science and emerging technology topics, including Computational Thinking, Scratch, Foundations of Computer Science for Teachers, Experience CS, Rural Opportunities in Computer Science (ROCS), CS Jumpstart, CodeAI Fundamentals and Discoveries, Artificial Intelligence, and Launch CS.
Dr. Roehl's is also a multi-year micro:bit Champion (2024–2026). Past experience includes:
- 15 years as a Math, Science, and STEM Specialist at Region 3 Education Service Center.
- 6 years as Assistant Director for the NSF-funded South Texas Rural Systemic Initiative.
- 12 years as a high school teacher in Mathematics, Science, and Computer Programming.
