Sal joined the Web and Mobile Applications team at TACC in August 2017, where he works primarily on the full stack of the DesignSafe cyberinfrastructure project, as well as other web portals. He enjoys working on extending the functional possibilities of TACC's web portal projects, such as improving usability when interfacing with HPC systems, extensibility of the platform, and building efficient web tools and services.
Before TACC, Sal worked as a Research Assistant developing scientific Python applications for MD Anderson's Radiation Physics group, and performing materials science research and experimenting with web visualizations for UT Austin's Transportation Engineering department.
