Nikki Hendricks is a Senior Cybersecurity Education Specialist at The University of Texas at Austin's Expanding Pathways in Computing (EPIC). She taught high school Cybersecurity and Computer Science at Lake Travis ISD and holds a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. Nikki has also coached several teams in the AFA CyberPatriots competition and Girls Go CyberStart competition. She is very honored to be a NCWIT 2020 Texas: Austin Affiliate Educator Award Honorable Mention.
Nikki creates and delivers professional development for cybersecurity educators, designs curriculum for CompTIA Security+ certification, and collaborates with state and national entities to promote cybersecurity education. Nikki delivers in-person and virtual workshops for schools and districts, providing hands-on experiences in cybersecurity education.
She holds several industry certifications including CompTIA CySA+, Security+, Network+, Project+, and the EC-Council Certified Encryption Specialist. Nikki has contributed to the formulation of national K12 cybersecurity standards, educated congressional staff members on K12 cybersecurity education through her position on the CompTIA National CTE Advisory committee, and played a role in developing cybersecurity pathways from secondary to postsecondary education as part of the Texas SB 64 workgroup.
