Edgar joined TACC in November 2018. He is responsible for curriculum development and instruction, outreach, training, and program implementation for TACC's Education and Outreach K-12 events. Before TACC, Edgar was an outreach program coordinator for GeoFORCE Texas, a geology-based high school outreach program at the UT Austin Jackson School of Geosciences. He managed and led initiatives to increase the number of underrepresented high school students pursuing STEM degrees and careers. Since 2008, Edgar has continued to work with and for students to ensure they gain access to previously unavailable opportunities.
