Dawn Hunter serves as the Director of the Leadership-Class Computing Facility (LCCF) Visitor Center, where she will develop and oversee education and public outreach (EPO) programs in workforce development and broadening participation in computing.
Since joining the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) in 2016, Dawn has served as Senior Program Coordinator, Program Administrator, and Program Manager within the Education and Outreach group. In these roles, she successfully managed summer residential camps for high school students and played a pivotal role in recruiting and coordinating K-16 education and outreach initiatives. Prior to her time at TACC, Dawn spent years leading program implementation and activities for afterschool programs and overseeing recruitment for the Equal Opportunity in Engineering program at the UT Austin. Her career began with a decade of experience as a Customer Service Engineer, following her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University.
